Our objectives must be met in light of our Practice Mission Statement which has always been

'Anything that comes through the door'.

In a remote area, or at least one that is removed from most medical support services enjoyed by southern practices, it is essential that the practice and staff be flexible and respond to emergencies and situations that are often unique and dynamic. Clients and patients often do not have an alternative to consider.

It is our firm belief that we will not turn away patients simply because we feel that we don't have the optimal resources for the case. We will advise and do the very best we can given the circumstances; and we will be as resourceful as possible to deal with the situations presented.

Most pleasures of being rigid, well-defined and able to refer the unusual or the difficult are not pleasures we enjoy. We must always work with this in mind.

While this can be the most frustrating and challenging way to work, it can also be the most challenging and rewarding way to practice veterinary medicine.
